Almost There
The final CD is in to Polack. Thursday we are meeting with Margaret Ray to deliver the goods.
It’s been swell, Team BS!

We have a Speaking Center appointment on Friday, and we completed a rough draft of the Powerpoint presentation today. The project is coming along.
Today we defined our coding scheme and wrote the description paragraphs for the visio diagrams we created on friday. We also defined our module decomposition, the functions within them and the security strategy.
Yesterday we made diagrams in Microsoft Visio for the Design Document. Visio makes some nice looking diagrams. Right now we are working on the written portions of the document (and eagerly awaiting laser tag). We will probably get together both days this weekend.
On Wednesday, Team BS will gather most likely following Software Engineering to start working on the design document.
Yesterday, with met with Professor Ray to talk about using an online implementation versus an offline one. We had been playing with the idea of doing an online implementation because we think this will be faster and much more portable. The latter reason is mainly why we made the switch. Professor Ray will be able to use the system as long as she has hosting space, as opposed whenever she makes the switch to MS Office 2007 (we were thinking of using MS Access with an overlaid UI before). We will try to use her hosting space on Yahoo! Site Builder. We also clarified with Prof. Ray how she wants the horse reports represented, as well as the presence of different logins.
The meeting was helpful.
Today BS met again to work on our requirements document. We finished the title page, table of contents, section 1 and section 2, the use case diagram, 4 of 6 use case specifications and also created a state transition diagram along with its description. Furthermore, we also planned out the rest of the paper as well as times to meet. Lastly, we agreed that we should contact Margaret Ray and set up another meeting to clarify a few points, and are planning on wednesday as a viable option.
Shannon put together a brief outline of the requirements doc and we all met after class to start working on it. After writing up a rough draft of the first two sections, we decided to take a break, grab some lunch and meet again on saturday afternoon to continue working.
We met this morning to work on our homework assignment for the data stores. We also met on Monday morning to complete the homework for the use-case diagram, use-case specification, and the sequence diagram.
We wrote to our client, Margaret Ray, to inform her of our progress. We attached our product vision for her to view, and we sent her the link to our blog so she can see how we are progressing throughout the semester.
